{"id":900,"date":"2011-11-08T12:39:34","date_gmt":"2011-11-08T12:39:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/more-coffee.co.uk\/blog\/?p=900"},"modified":"2011-11-08T12:39:34","modified_gmt":"2011-11-08T12:39:34","slug":"setting-up-free-delivery-when-an-order-is-over-x-xx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/more-coffee.co.uk\/?p=900","title":{"rendered":"Setting up Free Delivery when an order is over \u00a3x.xx"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No I have not gone XXX mad, however <a title=\"XXX\" href=\"http:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/xxx.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Namesco <\/a>are offering some excellent deals on pre-registration ;).<\/p>\n<p>This walk through is about setting your Namesco Ecommerce package to give your customers free delivery on their orders if they order over a certain value. \u00a0This can be done on the number of items that they order or by the value of the basket, in this demo I will show it configured on the value of the basket contents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Getting Started<\/h2>\n<p>You will first of all need to log into your shop back office this is done through the control panel<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/admin.names.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Namesco<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/admin.register365.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Register365<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/admin.simplyhosting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SimplyHosting<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have logged in and chosen the shop that you want to configure, move your mouse over the &#8220;Settings&#8221; tab and click on &#8220;Delivery and payment&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7075\/7208669574_82fdb62cb4_o.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-901 alignnone\" title=\"Image001\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7075\/7208669574_82fdb62cb4_o.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"542\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Creating and Configuring your Free Delivery Option<\/h2>\n<p>In my shop I don&#8217;t have &#8220;<em>Free Delivery<\/em>&#8221; as an option, I may have deleted it already, if you do have it, just select the tick box next to it and delete it in the normal way.<\/p>\n<p>Creating the new Delivery method<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Now in the empty box at the bottom of the list type in what you would like this to be called, if you have a price threshold on there might be better for your customers to see it in the description.<\/li>\n<li>From the Dropdown box next to the name choose &#8220;<em>Exemption limit<\/em>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<li>Now click the save button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7094\/7208669518_98afa36650_o.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-906\" title=\"Image002\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7094\/7208669518_98afa36650_o.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<h2>Completing the new Delivery Method<\/h2>\n<p>Congratulations you have created your new Delivery Method, now all you have to do is complet all the settings and your customers will be able to have Free Delivery (<em>assuming they spend enough money with you<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You will see your new delivery method shown in the list however it is not active yet and must be configured, there is a Yellow warning next to it, click on the &#8220;Complete it&#8221; link.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7229\/7208669618_032461c442_o.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-909\" title=\"Image003\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7229\/7208669618_032461c442_o.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"552\" height=\"218\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You will be taken automatically to the &#8220;Settings&#8221; tab in the Delivery Method, depending on how many currencies you have this may look slightly\u00a0different you could have more or less boxes to configure, however in\u00a0essence\u00a0it&#8217;s all the same.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Base Price<\/strong>\u00a0: This is the price you want to charge for Delivery if the order is below your set value.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free above an order value of<\/strong>\u00a0: This is the value you want the contents of your customer basket to equal before you give them free delivery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5076\/7208669674_b098b6f241_o.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-910\" title=\"Image004\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5076\/7208669674_b098b6f241_o.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"552\" height=\"205\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click the &#8220;Save&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p><em>Almost done now, just one more step and you can test it out.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Click on the &#8220;General&#8221; tab, at the moment your &#8220;Free Delivery&#8221; method is not visible to your customers. \u00a0Set to &#8220;Visible&#8221; and click the &#8220;Save&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7078\/7208669772_d429017642_o.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-911\" title=\"Image005\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7078\/7208669772_d429017642_o.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"279\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Testing it out<\/h2>\n<p>As you can see I have 15 items in my basket totalling a whopping \u00a314.85, the current Delivery method has a price of \u00a37.06.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7094\/7208669720_9b8d82d45c_o.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-912\" title=\"Image006\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7094\/7208669720_9b8d82d45c_o.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"578\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even if I choose &#8220;Free Delivery&#8221;
